{"id":4976,"date":"2025-08-09T12:12:10","date_gmt":"2025-08-09T06:42:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/primekhabarpunjab.in\/?p=4976"},"modified":"2025-08-09T12:14:43","modified_gmt":"2025-08-09T06:44:43","slug":"industrial-dispute-between-fci-category-lll-iv-employees-union-and-food-corporation-of-india-referred-to-cgit-cum-labor-court","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/primekhabarpunjab.in\/?p=4976","title":{"rendered":"Industrial Dispute Between FCI Category lll &#038; IV Employees Union and Food Corporation of India Referred to CGIT cum Labor Court"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p style=\"font-size:28px\"><strong>Chandigarh -9th August 2025<\/strong> \u2013 The Ministry of Labor and Employment, Government of India, has formally referred an industrial dispute between the <em>FCI Category III &amp; IV Employees Union<\/em> and the <em>Food Corporation of India (FCI)<\/em> to the <em>Central Government Industrial Tribunal-cum-Labour Court<\/em>, Chandigarh, for adjudication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:28px\">As per the referral order dated <strong>16th July 2025<\/strong>, issued by <strong>Mr. Hemang Dimngel<\/strong>, Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner (Central), Chandigarh, the matter pertains to the <strong>arbitrary transfer of union office-bearers<\/strong> by the FCI Regional and Zonal management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:28px\">The Union has alleged that the action taken by the management was <strong>malafide<\/strong> and constitutes an <strong>Unfair Labour Practice<\/strong> under <strong>Section 25-T<\/strong> and the <strong>Fifth Schedule<\/strong> of the <strong>Industrial Disputes Act, 1947<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:28px\">Speaking on the matter, <strong>Mr. Vishnu Chaudhary<\/strong>, National President of the Union, stated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:28px\">\u201cThe transfers are not only arbitrary but are also a clear attempt to suppress the functioning of an FCI Cat lll &amp; IV Employees Union. We welcome the intervention of the Labour and Employment Ministry and are confident that justice will prevail.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:28px\">Following the referral, the Hon\u2019ble Tribunal issued notices to both parties on <strong>30th July 2025<\/strong>, directing their appearance on <strong>14th October 2025 at 10:00 AM<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:28px\">This case is being closely watched by labour unions, legal experts, and other.
